Answers…
KeyNumerate is free software that tallies your key clicks and mouse movements.
How much does KeyNumerate cost?
There is no cost, it is free. I may open source it at some time in the future.
Why do you offer this for free?
I made KeyNumerate for my own use to track my own computer useage. It also doesn’t have enough features to warrant a cost. There are no plans to charge as features are added.
Why is the current version 0.9? What does this number mean?
Currently, there are several features that have not been implemented. All the data is stored, but much of the statistics from this data are not displayed. All versions less than 1.0.0.0 are pre-release versions, and are not fully functional. The final release (1.0.0.0), will have 100% of the planned functionality. The 0.9 denotes pre-release.
How often will updates be made?
There is no set schedule and since work is done on my free time, releases can be sporatic.
How can I be notified of updates?
Sign up for the KeyNumerate mailing list on the Mailing List page. Your email address will kept private and ONLY used for webs site or software update notifications.
Who do I contact for technical support?
Currently, support is only available via email at michael@SilverTriad.com.
Do you offer branding or custom versions of KeyNumerate?
Yes. If you want to replace the KeyNumerate title with your custom name, or logo, this can be done for a fee. The fee depends on the nature of the organization, and the level of customizations required.
What are the minimum requirements to run KeyNumerate?
Microsoft Windows 98, ME, NT 4, Windows 2000 and XP.
8MB of RAM, and about 10 MB of free disk space, although more space will be needed as the statistics are collected.
A faster computer (Pentium 4/AMD Athlon) may be required to handle the tracking of mouse movements.
Microsoft’s .NET framework, version 2.0, is also required but should be installed when running the installation.
What was KeyNumerate developed with?
Microsoft’s Visual Studio 2005, specifically C#
Why is your web site called SilverTriad.com?
First of all, I am the father of triplets, so we wanted a name relating to our children. After looking at hundreds of names for a web site, most of which were taken, we settled on SilverTriad.
